About Our Lesson Program:
-Here at Empty Pockets Farm our lesson program is very dedicated to safety, good
horsemanship skills and above all fun. Unlike other lesson programs, we start students from the
ground up. Not only working on riding form but how to be a better all around horse person.
-Students learn how to groom, tack and handle the horses all in a safe and quiet setting giving
them the chance to get a hands on experience.
-We start students ages 5 and up. We offer a multi discipline lesson program from
Hunter/Jumper, Dressage, Eventing, Western Pleasure, all the way to safe trail riding.
-All lessons deal exclusively with you and your horse in a private hour-long session.
-Our rates are kept low to provide every one the opportunity to take horse back riding lessons
and to experience the joy of being around horses. We feel lessons are building blocks that are
essential to building a long lasting partnership between horse and rider.
-Students are taught the proper way how to ride with their seat and legs and the horses’ mouth
last.
-Whether you are just starting out or know your way around a horse already, we have a horse
that will fit your needs.
-Our lessons are by appointment only. We greatly appreciate all students arriving 30 minutes
prior to their lesson time. This time is used for brushing and tacking your horse. All students are
responsible for cleaning their tack and their horse when they are finished.
-In order to provide a healthy and fun environment for both horse and rider, lessons are
cancelled if the temperature is above 90' or below 10'. Please call to check if there are any
concerns about the weather.
-Lessons and lesson packages are non-refundable.
-If for any reason you wish to cancel or reschedule your lesson, please call your instructor as
soon as possible. IF YOU DO NOT CALL TO CANCEL WITHIN 24 HOURS, YOU WILL BE
CHARGED FOR YOUR LESSON
*Remember you are never too old to start riding.*
Riding Attire:
First time students should wear boots with a heel. Proper riding boots are required by the third
lesson. Safety helmets must be worn and will be provided. Saddles, bridles and brushes are
provided with lesson horses.
